Lets talk about the Menopause

Firstly, I want to clear something up...

The menopause only actually lasts 1 day. However there are 4 stages to what we call the menopause…

  • pre-menopause

  • peri-menopause

  • menopause

  • post menopause.

It is peri-menopause where the hormones decline gradually, which can last 10-15 years.

This is when the 3 hormones Estrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone; which are vital for female health and wellbeing, begin to decline as we age, because they are no longer needed for reproduction.

It is this gradual decline which can leave females feeling emotional and volatile.

Menopause is defined as a hormone deficiency with health risks.

There are over 50 symptoms which you may experience during perimenopause and menopause. Below are the more common ones.

  • HOT FLASHES

  • WEIGHT GAIN

  • ANXIETY

  • BRAIN FOG

  • DIZZYNESS VAGINAL

  • DRYNESS

  • LOW LIBIDO

  • HEADACHES

  • ACHES & PAINS

  • COLD FLUSHES

  • IRREGULAR PERIODS

  • IRRITABILITY

This is by no means an extensive list. To read more about symptoms, about how hormones change and about what we can do to improve/remove symptoms, follow this link below to my FREE ‘Menopause Bible’ which has a lot more detail for you.
